BACKGROUND
Robie Robichaud, President and Lead Instructor
Process Instrumentation and Controls
Since
1998, Robie Robichaud has owned Process Instrumentation and Controls,
a small training company. He specializes in developing and teaching
instrumentation and is the author of two textbooks.
In 1996 he became an ISA Level III Certified Control Systems Technician.
Robichaud is also a senior member of ISA, and currently serves
as Education Coordinator for the ISA Portland Chapter in Oregon.
Prior to starting his own business, Robichaud spent 8 years teaching
instrumentation courses at Eastern Maine Technical College and
New England Controls, a Fisher-Rosemount equipment vendor. He
gained his technical background in instrumentation and process
control in various positions from 1974-1989 in the chemical, petrochemical,
pulp and paper, wastewater treatment and construction industries.
His real world "hands on" experience has given him the foundation
and expertise for developing curricula through a technician's
eye.
Prior to 1974, Robichaud spent four years in the United States
Air Force. Robichaud taught electronics and continued his education
at Eastern Illinois University, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree
with a concentration in electronics and industrial technology.
Currently,
Robichaud resides in Vancouver, Washington and spends the summer
months in Bangor ,Maine.
